What is “Believe in Shipley”?

Believe in Shipley was a ten-day festival which took place in September 2016. The Christian churches and congregations across Shipley and Saltaire came together to:

  • Celebrate what God is doing here in our communities
  • Let people know that Jesus loves them
  • Invite people to learn more about the Christian faith

The festival was a fabulous time of coming together and celebrating. Now Christmas is coming and we’d like to invite you again to come and join us and find out about the joyful, creative and diverse ways Christmas is celebrated by Christians in our town.

Believer, agnostic or sceptic; passionately seeking or mildly curious; all are more than welcome to join us – even if it’s a once-a-year visit!

There’s lots going on in churches around Shipley – have a look, pick something and come on in. Happy Christmas!

Mission Statement

The Shipley Churches Together are committed to working ecumenically, to serve the communities across Shipley. We are called to respond to God’s love that we find in the gospel stories of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, and to be united in the ‘Believe In Shipley Mission 2016’, to reach out to those who are in need, to introduce all people to Jesus, and to build real relationships with God.
